6D5N in Taipei - Part 3 Shi Ling Night Market

Hi all, it time to share with you all for my first meal in Taipei.

We decided to go to Shi Ling night market by MRT. On the way walking to the MRT from our hotel, we get attracted by this funny "guy" which sitting right in front of a coffee shop. we notice that this shop only sell coffee and that's all - Coffee only they sell. It does not like other cafe also have different kind of foods in their shop as well. Not only this "little guy" attracted us, the coffee smell very good as well but unfortunately we rushing to Shi Ling to fill up our empty stomach.

A little guy enjoying his coffee

Once we had reached the night market, I feel like it was totally different from the TV show from my home town..... at the show the night market in Taiwan was like full of stalls that along the road and this is what we saw once we entered the into it. We thought we still way to go to reach the "actual" night market instead of shops along the road so we just keep walking and walking.

Finally, we found some stalls on the road side and we totally hungry and just simply order some of the food nearby and started "injecting" food into our mouth. This is what we had at first - "Mian Xian" it located just right in front of the temple and it taste really good and I never had this taste in my country before at all. After we had finish it, we only notice this stall are actually being interviewed by the local newspaper.

One funny thing happened was, we were like typical tourist and bring out the "bible of Taipei" and try to look for more nice food nearby and the owner of the stalls saw us did that and come over offering her favor to answer us all the quires that appear in our head. After her explanations and recommendations, we finally know that all the existing famous stalls were relocated into the basement hawker center.

While walking to the famous hawker center, the other smell had attracted us again and "drag" us to his stall....

This food was called "da chang bao xiao chang" which direct translation will be "Small sausage in Big sausage". It actually were made by the Taiwan sausage which covered by the sticky rice and the out look after the sticky rice covered the sausage it look like big sausage too and that's how the name came from.

Ok, here we are, the typical hawker center. I think it should be same look for all the Chinese hawker center will be around the world. but it really pack-up in here.

In here, we are really like blur out already due to too many food in front of our eyes and our saliva are  keep coming out from out mouths....

The "Lu Rou Fan" - a bowl of rice that covered with the source of braised pork and it only cost us 25NT!! This is the cheapest meal that I can get in Taipei... if you feel don't appetite for eating, then you should try at least 1 spoon for it!! For sure it will bring your appetite for it!!!

Super tasty rice in Taiwan

When you feel our stomach is going to full then you should stop eating the rest of the thing and try this desert that highly recommended by the "bible" - Mango Ice.

I had notice that the ice they are using are really soft and doesn't look like the normal ice cube that usually using in our place. So my curiosity has made me to peeping around the store to look for the reason why the ice is so soft and tasty. And I had found that when other guest order the different flavor of the ice bowl, the will change the ice which is that flavor that same with the fruits. Like Mango ice, they will use the mango ice cube to make the ice and then only cut the mango fruits into it and if you ordered the strawberry ice, they will take off the previous ice cube and change to strawberry ice cube to make the ice. So I found this is really special that they might using the fruits to make some sort of yogurt ice for the ice cube. So try yourself when you are there!!! and tell me what kind of ingredients they use if you are the expert for desert!!

Before we get our tired body back to the hotel from the market, we found this funny "big bird" stall that selling "Da Diao" - Big bird desert but so sorry that our small stomach the can't really fill in anymore. So we just took the photo and hope you guys can share with me how the taste look like.

Hope you guys like it and stay tune for more info for trip in Taipei!!

6D5N in Taipei - Part 2

First thing ever want to do after touch down was find the pre-book hotel and put down all the "burden" that we had carried all the way from airport to the town.

But along the journey from airport to town, there was a lots of nice view outside the windows.

Funny things was, we had mis-book the hotel which we thought we had booked it at the Xi Men Ding but after being a clown in front of the receptionist, we only found out that our hotel was book on the other branch which located few MRT station away from it.

So without further wasting anymore time, we rush ourselves to the nearest MRT station and took the train to the station called "Xuang Lian". After reach the "Xuang Lian" Station, we still need to walk around 5 mints with all those heavy bags we all carried.

By the way, I really need to mention this while we on the way walking to our hotel, we found this nearby the Jian Nan MRT station which it taste superb nice and it was call "Tan Huang Shu". It is a kind of biscuit which similar taste to Shanghai moon cake(if you had tested it before) and they insert the egg york inside the biscuit....wooo yam yam..... worth to try cause it only cost you NT40!!

Finally we reached the actual hotel that we pre-book online and it really did not disappointed us with the friendly receptionist gave us a warm welcome and their services to checked us into the hotel. While waiting the check in process, we enjoyed their "lounge" just right beside the reception counter. Woola, they really have a nice interior design sense for it....

Not only that, the VIA Hotel also provide free flow drinks and biscuits around the clock for their guest!!!

6D5N in Taipei - Part 1

Hi fellow friends, is been a while that I never post any blogs due to busy planing for another trip to Taipei and here is it, I am just back from Taipei.

Ok! First of all, everybody know last minutes book flight will a lots expensive for the tickets. As in we had book out air tickets with Air Asia(AA) one year earlier, we got the Zero Air fair from the AA and we just paid the luggage and the airport tax for the whole flights. Total up for the return flights for 2 people are just cost us less then RM1200 included the meal that we had order for our flights as well.

As we know pre-book on everything are really worth then we buy on the spot. so have a good plan ahead to pre-order the meal for your flight if your flights are in the middle of lunch or dinner. For the flight that going to Taipei, we had order the set meal which cost us around RM20 per set and we got the main meal, apple pie and a mineral water.

All the way along the flight if you are lucky, you will get a nice view along your flight for the nice clouds around you. On the other hand, you will just get like what I had on my first 2 hours flight were just "blank white screen" outside the windows and there is only got a clear sky when near to the Taipei.

Ok here we are, we had touch down to the Taipei International Airport - Tao Yuan Airport. Remember to fill up the Country Entry Card before you line up to the immigration counter. By the way, just for your info, Taiwan government had prepared the free Wifi around the town in a certain spot like the MRT station and some public places. You can go register and get the password at the information counter in the Tau Yuan Airport by providing them your passport.

Let wait for part 2 on tomorrow... will show you all the hotel we first hotel we stay in and the MRT in town.. STAY TUNE.... ^^

Batu Caves

Batu Caves is one of the Malaysia tourist spot that located just around 17KM away from KL city. the main attraction of this place was the big statute just right in front of the staircase and the other would be the bat's cave. The stature are called Murugan and its tall is 42.7m high and consider the tallest statute of the world.
For the bat caves, I yet to be go in to tell you what you can "see" inside due to we had tired for half day photographing right  infront of the statute. Other then that, this place also have a lots of monkeys that gather around here waiting for the tourist to give them the food.

Bellow are some pictures that we had took during these outing with the 2 pretty lady of mine.
